Ahhh, the pumpkin lager... *sniff*... after waiting weeks and weeks, I was disappointed to discover that the entire batch was overcarbonated. I choked down a liter out of some sense of obligation, but I ended up pouring the other 7 liters down the drain and went back to drinking my Shipyard Pumpkin Ale.

I've been very happy with pretty much everything I've brewed up with my Mr. Beer kit, but that pumpkin lager was horrid... I might try it again next year just to see if it was something I did wrong.

Thanks for checking out the site... I ended up rinsing the puree down the drain because it was nothing more than a pile of mush by the time I bottled everything. Found it interesting that I'll normally get eight liters of beer out of a Mr. Beer batch, but only got about seven and a half out of the pumpkin lager wort. I'm guessing that the pumpkin puree soaked it up?

It's been in my little "beer closet" in the basement for about 2 1/2 weeks now, so I'm just about ready to stick a few bottles in the fridge and let them lager for a couple weeks. Hoping to have them ready by the end of the month.

What did you do with all the settled pumpkin puree at the bottom of the brew keg? I am about to bottle my pumpkin lager but all the pumpkin puree settled and I am not sure what to do with it.
