As a die-hard blue drinker who has decided to stop drinking alcohol for the year (2008 - 2 weeks to go woo-hooo!!!) I've been trying different non-alcoholic beers. I've enjoyed the President's Choice brand from Loblaws and also the Master Choice brand from A&P.

When I heard earlier this year that a new Labatt non-alcoholic beer was coming out I was excited about it and went to the store and found the Nordic stuff. It was so freaking gross I couldn't drink it and threw it all down the drain.

When I first saw de-alcoholized blue on the shelf at my local A&P a couple of weeks ago I awas keen to pick some up and try it. I have to say I absolutely love it (for a non-alcoholic beer). I has definitely filled the void for me. Sure it is a watered down version of Labatt blue but still very tasty. I plan to continue drinking it regularly even into the new year and save the real stuff for nights out with the boys and social occasions.

Cheers!

I tried it tonight finally. I was very impressed. Much better than Nordic or Excell. First time a beer company took producing a non alcoholic product seriously, I think. I mean if you make most of your money selling alcoholic products, why make a good non alcoholic one, right? Anyhow, much improved.

I tried my first 6 pack on the weekend and decided this new brew is pretty tastey. Very comparable to real Labatt's Blue. 3 of us tried it, and agreed it was much better than Nordic. I wish it wasn't so pricey, and was available in bulk packaging.

I bought a six pack yesterday ($11) and was not impressed overall by the first one but came to enjoy the second much better. Excel is the best cost wise and availability is much more accessible. Lower your price and make it more available.

This is exactly the kind of product that those looking for a decent de alcoholized selection need. I only wish it was easier to find and without getting the word out about it i fear i will not see it in my neighborhood anytime soon.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH LABATT BLUE DE-ALCOHOLIZED PILSENER!!!!
I bought a case ($8.59) and drank a bottle and i was not impressed. It didnt taste any better than LABATT NORDIC non-alcohol beer. It was watery and tasteless, only a mild, bitter aftertaste lingers. There was the aroma of cornflakes and the lacing didnt last that long either.
No improvement from LABATT NORDIC. I will stick to my MOLSON EXCEL non-alcohol beer instead, it is way cheaper in the cans. Why pay more for bottles and get less beverage too???
