Full Sail Brewing is “Living the Dream” with Limited Edition Brews

Full Sail BrewingIf you ever want to know why I really love craft beer, this is it right here.

Oregon’s Full Sail Brewing offers up a nice selection of brews, from Amber, IPA and Pale Ale to Session Lager (great name!) and Wassail Winter Ale, but you have to love their LTD line of beer. For them, LTD means “limited edition” and “Live The Dream.”

In celebration of the brewery’s 21st birthday, they’re concocting an ever-changing series of small batch beers, available for a limited time only. Each new LTD Series brew will showcase an original lager recipe, pimped out by their “ace crew of libationary wunderkinds.”

Their LTD 02 is “a seriously tasty, import-style lager that is nicely balanced. It’s a light-bodied, golden colored lager that has soft malt undertones and finishes crisp and clean - perfect for the warmer seasons.”

Plus, as if that wasn’t enough fun, there’s the Full Sail “Brewmaster’s Reserve” line. Check this out:

“Brewers are kinda like mad scientists. We’re always tinkering away with some new recipe in our lab (insert maniacal laugh here). Back in 1998, we decided to let our own mad scientist brewmaster, John Harris, unleash his brewing chops on the public. The result: our ever-rotating selection of Brewmaster Reserve beers. From barleywines to super-hopped bitters, John springs his latest invention on devoted beer lovers roughly every 10 weeks. Past favorites have included Sunspot, Wreck the Halls, Slipknot, and Hopocity. And our perennial favorite, Old Boardhead Barleywine, comes out every December. But we never really know what John has up his sleeve next. And that’s half the fun of it. Look for our latest offering on draft at select taverns and bars, and in 22 oz. bottles at retail.”

Very cool stuff… I’ll definitely have to hunt down some of their beers after I finish working my way through the Guiness and Harp that I bought last Friday. Yummy…
